Description	:	Mrs. Margaret Koob passed away at 8:30 Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Muller following a lingering illness of over three months. She suffered a stroke July 4th at the home of her son, John Koob, but later she was removed to the home of her daughter where she was tenderly cared for during her illness. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church with Rev. Fr. C.P. Conway in charge. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery in this city. Read More	Mrs. Margaret Koob passed away at 8:30 Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Muller following a lingering illness of over three months. She suffered a stroke July 4th at the home of her son, John Koob, but later she was removed to the home of her daughter where she was tenderly cared for during her illness. Mrs. Margaret Koob was an only child of John Kemp and Elizabeth Michaux. She was born in Tentange, Luxembourg, Germany, Aug. 24, 1840 and passed away Oct. 26, 1929, at the advanced age of 89 years, 2 months and 2 days. In 1868 she was united in marriage with John Koob and to this union were born seven children, one son and one daughter dying in infancy and one son was killed in 1912. Her husband passed away in 1899. In 1912 she accompanied her daughter, Mrs. John Mullet and family, to America and after being here one year she was so taken up with the opportunities offered here that she returned to her native land and induced her son, John Koob and family, to immigrate America. She returned to this country a second time with her son May 24, 1913. Since coming to this country she made her home with her youngest daughter, Mrs. Muller, but she spent part of each year visiting with he other children. She was reared in the Catholic faith and remained faithful to her belief until the end. The children who survive her are Mrs. J. B. Seiwerath, Mrs. John Theis Sr., Mrs John Muller and John Koob all of Hawarden. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren to mourn her death. Mrs. Koob was a woman of unusual strength in her younger days and no task was too hard for her to undertake. She was a kind and loving mother and upright Christian woman. She will be greatly missed by her children for whom she was always willing to make any sacrifice. Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Matt Herrig, Mike Herrig, Mrs. Mary Harens and Clara Koob, all of Alton; Henry Koob Jr. of lone, Minn.; Pauline Heuertz, Matt Ruppert, Mrs. Lysom and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kunkel and family of Le Mars.
