Description	:	Marguerite Louise Benbow was born Dec. 28, 1896, in Absarokee, Mont., to Thomas Chalkley Benbow and Ida Mendenhall Benbow. She died at age 102, on Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, in Fort Collins. She graduated from Columbus (Mont.) High School in 1915 and moved to Walden in 1917. She worked in the Jackson County Clerk's Office for several years. She married Carl Victor Hanson on July 27, 1922. Read More	Marguerite Louise Benbow was born Dec. 28, 1896, in Absarokee, Mont., to Thomas Chalkley Benbow and Ida Mendenhall Benbow. She died at age 102, on Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, in Fort Collins. She graduated from Columbus (Mont.) High School in 1915 and moved to Walden in 1917. She worked in the Jackson County Clerk's Office for several years. She married Carl Victor Hanson on July 27, 1922. They lived in Walden, where Mr. Hanson had a Standard Oil dealership for several years and served as the local brand inspector. The Hansons are best remembered as local ranchers, working for the Hill Land and Cattle Co. near Rand and Big Horn Ranches of Cowdrey for 13 years, retiring in 1975. Mrs. Hanson loved to walk the mountains, fields and streams and was an avid fisherwoman. She was known for her quilting and needlework and entered projects in the county fair well into her 90s. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, North Park Women's Club and cattlewomen's associations at the local, state and national levels. She had lived in Fort Collins since March. Survivors include two sons; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
