Description	:	Mrs. Mary Hasenpflug, Creighton resident, passed away at her home in Creighton, Saturday morning at 12:30. She had been in poor health for some time. It was only the past two weeks that she had been bedfast. Her daughter, Mrs. W.F. Chandler, had been caring for her. Mary Anna Weis was born in Linzhein, Germany on September 17, 1856 and died on December 30, 1933 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to David C. Kuhn on October 30, 1880 in Germany. One son was born to this union. She came to this county... Read More	Mrs. Mary Hasenpflug, Creighton resident, passed away at her home in Creighton, Saturday morning at 12:30. She had been in poor health for some time. It was only the past two weeks that she had been bedfast. Her daughter, Mrs. W.F. Chandler, had been caring for her. Mary Anna Weis was born in Linzhein, Germany on September 17, 1856 and died on December 30, 1933 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to David C. Kuhn on October 30, 1880 in Germany. One son was born to this union. She came to this county in 1881, settling at Chicago. Her first husband was called to the other world and she was married again to John Hasenpflug. Seven children were born to them, six sons and one daughter. One son, August, preceded his mother in death. In the year 1892 Mrs. Hasenpflug with her husband and family moved to Monowi, Nebr., where they homesteaded and resided for 20 years. They, then, moved to Creighton and she has been a resident here for 21 years. Her husband died October 15, 1932. Mrs. Hasenpflug was a true mother and was always faithful to members of her family. She was listed among the earliest pioneers and had labored hard in those days of trials and tribulations. Friends will mourn her passing in all sincerity. Those left to mourn are six sons, Emil Kuhn of Plainview, S.D., a son by her first marriage; Fred, Otto and Paul Hasenpflug, all of this city; John and Albert Hasenpflug of Monowi and one daughter, Mrs. W.F. Chandler of this city. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the W.C. Hengstler & Son Chapel. Rev. Ramseyer, pastor of the Federated church, officiated. Although the day was quite cold, a nice company of friends were present at the last rites. The remains were taken to Monowi, where interment was made in the Alford Cemetery, where the body was laid to rest beside that of her husband.
