Rev. Walter Seefeldt officiated. Hymns were sung by an octet composed of Chris and Leland Stelling, Richard Stelling, Herman, Darell, and John Schleusener, William Mosel and Joe Zimmerman. Marie Obermiller Mosel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Obermiller, was born 20 August 1887 at Hooper, NE, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was called to her eternal rest 24 August 1959 at the Holdrege Hospital at the age of 72 years and 4 days. On 20 February 1907 she entered into holy matrimony with George Mosel at Hooper, NE. Four years later she and her husband and family moved to Antelope County, Nebraska, and settled on a farm in the Orchard, Nebraska, area. In 1914 they moved to Brewster, Minnesota, but only stayed there a year, returning to Orchard, Nebraska, where they farmed until 1946 and then made their home in Orchard, Nebraska. In 1957 they were privileged in celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. In 1958 her husband passed away. From that time on she made her home with her son of Clearwater, Nebraska, and then with her daughter at Oxford, Nebraska. During her entire lifetime she was a Christian mother and active in work of her church. She leaves to mourn her passing sons Bernard of Orchard, Nebraska, Walter of Clearwater, Nebraska, Martin of Turney, Missouri, and Gilbert of Orchard, Nebraska, daughters Luela Judas [Juedes] of Meridian, Idaho, Olga Henzler of Kuna, Idaho, and Lilly Schleusener of Oxford, Nebraska. Also surviving are sisters Leona Beerman, Freda Martesan, Sophie Guenther, Ida Guenther, Clara Stump, and Paula Ides, all of Minnesota, and Emma Thomeke of Hooper and brothers Louis and Gottlieb of Worthington, Minnesota, Henry of Sioux City, Iowa, and George of Minnesota.
