Services were conducted at the Hamilton Funeral Home and St. Peter's English Lutheran Church in Orchard, Nebraska, by Rev. Walter Seefeldt. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery south of Orchard. Mr. Mosel passed away on his 79th birthday. George Mosel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mosel, was born 23 Aug 1879 at Hooper, Nebraska. Being the child of Christian parents, he was brought to the baptismal font in the Lutheran church and was baptized on 8 September 1879 by Pastor J. Hilgendorf. Later on completing the confirmation instructions, he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith 26 Mar 1893 by Pastor H. Hofius. On 20 February 1907 he was united in marriage with Miss Maria Obermiller in the Lutheran Church at Hooper, Nebraska. Four years after their marriage they came to Orchard, Nebraska area, settling on a farm. In 1914 they moved to a farm in Minnesota at Brewster. A year later they moved back to Orchard, Nebraska, where they farmed until the year 1946 when they retired to make their home in Orchard, Nebraska. A year and a half ago they were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in the home of their son Martin. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Maria, sons Bernard and Martin of Orchard, Nebraska, Walter of Clearwater, Nebraska, and Gilbert of Ewing, Nebraska, daughter of Meridian, Idaho, Luella Juedes, Olga Henzler of Kuna, Idaho, and Lilly Schleusener of Oxford, Nebraska, sisters Mrs. Rose or Rosa Schacht of Neligh, Nebraska, Meta Sorge of Sidney, Nebraska and Regina Juedes of Oregon, brothers William of Orchard, Nebraska, Louis of Plainview, Nebraska, and Paul of Sidney, Nebraska, 34 grandchildren and a host of friends.
