She and her husband, who died several years ago, had moved to Hoisington in 1937 when he retired from farming. Their farm was located north of Hoisington. Read More	April 25, 1952 - Great Bend Daily Tribune Mrs. Mary Niedens, 73, Dies in Hoisington Hoisington - Mrs. Mary Catherine Niedens, 73, died yesterday afternoon at the Lutheran hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She and her husband, who died several years ago, had moved to Hoisington in 1937 when he retired from farming. Their farm was located north of Hoisington. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Emmaus Lutheran Church. The Rev. C. E. Fredericksen will officiate and burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. The body will remain at Child's Funeral Home until 4 p.m. Saturday when it will be taken to the Nieden's home at 260 West 2nd St. It will remain there until time for the services. Mrs. Niedens is survived by a large family, including 12 children, eight sons and four daughters. The sons are Alex, Fred, Ed, Rudy and Emanuel, all of Hoisington; Jacob and Sam of Great Bend, and George, of Russell. The daughters are Mrs. Rudy Dumler and Mrs. Ben Dumler, both of Galatia; and Mrs. Otto Deutsch of Hoisington, and Mrs. Ernest Wegele of Otis. Five brothers, Fred, Carl, Mike and George Dumler, all of Russell, and Conrad Dumler of Phoenix, Arizona, and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Eberhardt, of Denver, also survive.
