She was one of two children, and her parents were Missouri Benjamin and Emma (Gaetzke) See. Marian grew up on the family homestead northeast of Hinsdale and graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1940. Following high school graduation she moved to Great Falls where she went to a hairdresser's school. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": Marian (See) Romain was born in Hinsdale, Montana on March 12, 1922. She was one of two children, and her parents were Missouri Benjamin and Emma (Gaetzke) See. Marian grew up on the family homestead northeast of Hinsdale and graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1940. Following high school graduation she moved to Great Falls where she went to a hairdresser's school. She was employed as a beautician and worked in Chester where she met and married Clarence John Romain, on July 8, 1944. They operated their farm and ranch 30 miles south of Chester until Clarence's death in 1982. Marian remained on the farm until 1990 when she moved to Great Falls and oversaw the designing and construction of her "dream house" at 2743 Evergreen Drive. She lived there until she died at the Montana Deaconess Medical Center in Great Falls Thursday afternoon of October 21, 1993. She was 71 years old. Marian's hobbies included gardening, ceramics, knitting and she enjoyed playing the piano. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding, playing girl's basketball for Hinsdale High and helped her mother, who was a nurse, care for patients in her mother's private nursing home. Marian is best remembered by the way she loved her family. Her survivors include a son Kenneth Romain of Chester; a daughter Connie Romain of Great Falls; a son Dennis Romain of Fort Benton; a son Brian Romain of Chester and a son Dallas Romain of Fort Benton; seven grandchildren; a brother Corbin See of Hinsdale. Also, by a special friend and companion, Bob Vischer of Carter. Marian was preceded in death not only by her husband and parents but also by a granddaughter, Kendra Jayne Romain in 1992. Funeral services were held at the O'Connor Memorial Chapel in Great Falls. Burial was in Manchester cemetery. Liberty County Times, Chester, MT, 3 Nov 1993
