Description	:	WENATCHEE - Marian I. Larsen, 88, of Wenatchee and a longtime resident of Orondo, died Thursday, July 21, 1994, in Colonial Vista Convalescent Center. She was born July 1, 1906, to John Alfred and Grace Irene (Thompson) Northrup at Almira. At a young age, she moved to Northrup Canyon in Grant County where she was raised and attended school. She married Felton Shriner in 1923. They moved to Orondo in 1926. She married Fred Larsen in 1936 at East Wenatchee. Larsen, 88, of Wenatchee and a longtime resident of Orondo, died Thursday, July 21, 1994, in Colonial Vista Convalescent Center. She was born July 1, 1906, to John Alfred and Grace Irene (Thompson) Northrup at Almira. At a young age, she moved to Northrup Canyon in Grant County where she was raised and attended school. She married Felton Shriner in 1923. They moved to Orondo in 1926. She married Fred Larsen in 1936 at East Wenatchee. They made their home in Orondo where they operated an orchard until 1957, when it was sold to Chelan County PUD. They relocated and developed an orchard with their son Jack. Mrs. Larsen sold the family home to the PUD in 1980 and moved to East Wenatchee and then later to Wenatchee in 1989. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a board member and past president of the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs, a member of the Wenatchee Garden Club, a life member of the State and National Council of Garden Clubs, a member of the Heritage Committee, Orondo Women's Club and Douglas County Park Board, and a director of the State Parks Association. She is survived by two sons, Jack A. Shriner of Orondo, and Robert D. Shriner of Pueblo, Colo.; three daughters, Doris Thrush and Freda Madson, both of Wenatchee, and Joyce Roberts of Kirkland; two sisters, Edith Louise Rose of Portland, Ore., and ]Aleene Phillips of South Bend, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Larsen in 1975, a brother and a sister. At her request no services will be held.
