Read More	Obit from Find A Grave Contributor "Cara": The Mountaineer, Big Sandy, MT, 24 Nov 1983 (excerpt) Marie B. Geiser, 60, died Friday, Nov. 11, 1983 at the Big Sandy Medical Center. Marie was born Feb. 6, 1923, to Max and Irene Schmid at Warrick. She rode a horse to the Warrick school much of her grade school years. She then came to Big Sandy where she graduated in 1942 from Big Sandy High School. Nov. 26, 1943, marked the wonderful day that she and Charles Geiser decided to share their lives forever in their wedding ceremony in Great Falls. As Charles went to Europe to fight in World War II, Marie kept busy working for the Great Northern Railroad. She traveled throughout Montana working in such towns as Straw, Barbar and Dodson. When Charles returned from Europe they moved four and one-half miles west of Big Sandy and began farming. They raised a family of three: Al of Chinook, Vernon of Bakersfield, Calif., and Joyce Carpenter of Billings. Besides raising her own children, she had a large influence on her five grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and just being a farm wife along side her husband. When she wasn't doing these activities, you could find her in the garden amongst her raspberries. This summer she had to give up most of these activities because she was in and out of the hospital. She left this world to meet Our Lord, Nov. 11, after fighting a three-year battle with cancer. Her father, Maximillian, and her brother, Max, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, her children and grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Irene Schmid of Warrick; sisters, Jessie Ray of Havre, Kathlyn Seivers of Boulder; a brother, Richard, of Warrick. Funeral services at Rohrer United Methodist Church, Big Sandy. Burial in Big Sandy cemetery.
