Description	:	At the age of 90 years. Marie lived in Camrose her entire life. She was one of eight children born to Joseph and Johanna Gau. Marie graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton in 1939. She was awarded the Medical Staff Medal for Nursing Technique upon graduation. Her gentle, kind and caring manner continued to be with her all of her life. Marie is survived by her loving family, daughters Marilyn of Camrose, Joanne (Norm Sarofen) of Edmonton, and Jeanette of Victoria, B.C.; one brother Bud Gau (Blanche) of St. Albert; as well as numerous... Marie was predeceased by her husband Marvin in December 2001; her parents Joe and Hanna; three brothers Gilbert, Leander and Charlie; and three sisters Mildred, Catherine and Josie. Marie's family has always been the most important part of her life. She will forever remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed in our lives. Prayer Services will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel (4817 - 51 Avenue, Camrose). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church (5010 - 48A Avenue, Camrose) with Reverend Donald Stein as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute, the CNIB, or to the charity of one's choice.
