Description	:	MARIE IRENE KUBE CROFTON---Marie Irene Kube, 78, Crofton, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at her residence. Funeral services were Sept. 10 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with the Rev. Joseph Broudou and Rev. Tim Lange officiating. Visitation was Sept. 9, with a Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and vigil, all at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Burial was in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton. Funeral services were Sept. 10 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with the Rev. Joseph Broudou and Rev. Tim Lange officiating. Visitation was Sept. 9, with a Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and vigil, all at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Burial was in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Stephen Kube, Jason Kube, Chris Kube, Bob Panowicz, John Panowicz, Matt Panowicz, Andrew Ridder, Mark Ridder and Taylor Kube. Marie was born June 17, 1926, to Edward and Ida (Schulte) Arens in Bow Valley and grew up in the Bow Valley area. She married Norman Joseph Kube June 7, 1949, in Bow Valley. After their marriage, Marie and Norman moved to the Kube homestead southwest of Crofton, where Marie remained until her death 55 years later. Marie was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, its Altar Society, Christian Mothers, St. Rose of Lima Prayer Chain, the Goodtime Choir and was a lector. She and Norman went through the Deaconate Program in the Omaha Archdiocese and she was involved in the Family Life Ministry, Marriage Encounter, Cursillo. She was a member of the Yankton Square Dance Club, and her hobbies included walking, crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening, baking bread and playing cards. Survivors include her husband, Norman, Crofton; seven children and spouses: Keth Kube, San Carlos, Calif.; Michael and Linda Kube, Grand Island; Patti and Mika Panowicz, Cairo; Kevin and Janita Kube, Crofton; Colene and Glenn Ridder, Sioux Falls, SD; John and Susie Kube, Greenfield, Ind.; and Karla and Bill Zavadil, Omaha; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Hildegard Lammers, Yankton, S.D.; Sylvia Hochstein, Crofton; Loretta Pick, Bow Valley; Mildred Kramer, Hartington; Rosella Kramer, Yankton, S.D.; and Isabelle Kramer, Hartington; three brothers and spouses, Rudy and Ella Arens, Bow Valley; Clarence J. and Lolly Arens, Crofton; and Roman and Arlene Arens, Hartington. She was preceded by her parents, and a sister, Pauline Lammers.
