She was born April 17, 1922 in Elizabeth to the union of Willie Johnson and Alice Johnson. She was a Baptist by faith and member of Calcasieu Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Millies Thompson; one son, Millies Glen Thompson; grandson, Erik Thompson; two brothers, Woodrow Johnson and James Johnson; two sisters, Annie Brister and Faye Miller; two half-sisters, Willie Mae Hailey and Lucy Johnson; and infant, Ollie Mae Johnson. Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her children, Mary Ann Johnson (Gerald) of Glenmora, Neal Thompson (Anita) of Elizabeth, and Geneva Thompson of Glenmora; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Johnson (Lou Ethel) of Edgerly and Grady Johnson (Jeana) of Oberlin; one sister, Kathryn LaBorde of Pitkin; special sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; special daughter-in-law, Lana Deville; and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be Brian Craft, Phillip Caillavet, Ricky Johnson, Terry Howard, Lonuel Thompson, and Truman Friday. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Jayce Carter and Brock Craft. Visitation will be held at Calcasieu Baptist Church beginning today, December 23, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Saturday, December 24, 2016 from 8 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. in the church.
