Read More	Mother of Ten Children Dies Mrs. Robert Larsen Laid to Rest at Dalesburg Monday Funeral services were held at the Dalesburg Baptist Church a: 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon for the late Mrs. Robert Larsen, who died in a Sioux City hospital the preceding Saturday. Mrs. Larsen, who had lived in the Dalesburg neighborhood for many years, was taken to the Sioux City hospital for care and attention when her condition became serious some two weeks ago. She grew steadily worse and passed away Saturday evening. Born in the state of Indiana on March 19, 1880, Mary Petersen, that being her maiden name, with her parents and other members of her family, came to Viborg, South Dakota when a little girl. She was reared and educated there and made that town her home all of her life until thirty-one years ago last April, when she was united in marriage to Robert Larsen. In her home and family she found her greatest interest and pleasure. Notwithstanding this and the further fact that she was the mother of a large family she found time to devote to community affairs and was well known to many throughout this section and had acquired a large number of friends who join with the surviving relatives in mourning her departure. She is survived by her widower, Robert Larsen, prominent farmer of the Dalesburg community and ten children. The children are Mrs. Iner Carlson, living near Beresford; Orville Larsen, Mrs. Fred Hendrickson and Mrs. Roy Shogren, of Alsen; two daughters, Edith and Vesta, who attended school at Irene; and four children living at the farm home, Alva, Wesley, Phoebe, and Eldon. She also leaves three sisters, two of them of them living in Viborg and one sister in the state of Oregon. Two brothers also survive, two of them living in Viborg and one a resident of Sioux Falls. Her mother and father both preceded her in death some time since and only on last March 31 another sister died. She also leaves 10 grandchildren. Rev. Erickson, the pastor of the Dalesburg Baptist church, officiated at the funeral services, and the arrangements were in charge of Charrlin's undertaking parlors of Vermillion. Burial was in the Dalesburg cemetery. The Dakota Republican, Thursday, May 7, 1931.
