Description	:	Marie L. Eklund, age 95, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Jennie Edmundson. She was born in Beresford, S.D., on November 22, 1915. She graduated from the University of South Dakota and taught school for many years in South Dakota, and also served as an Elementary School Librarian. She was united in marriage to Arthur Eklund and they raised four children. Arthur passed away in 1984 after 47 years of marriage. Survivors include daughters, Arlene Tannahill, of Council Bluffs, Jean Gepson, of Omaha, Neb., Carol Glover, of Omaha; son, Dennis Eklund, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; 8 grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, 12 p.m. (Noon) to 1 p.m., at the Dalesburg Lutheran Church in South Dakota, followed by funeral services at the church at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Dalesburg Lutheran Cemetery, Clay County, South Dakota. Memorials are suggested to the church or the charity of your choice.
