Marker, 76, of East Wenatchee, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in Central Washington Hospital. Marie was born Dec. 15, 1925 at home in Wenatchee, to August and Lillian (Oberloh) Kaiser. She attended grade school, junior high and high school in Wenatchee, graduating from Wenatchee High School in 1944. Marie was married to William H. Marker on Aug. 3, 1952 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wenatchee. Marie worked at Seattle First National Bank in various positions for 40 years. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, historian and in the Tabitha Circle, enjoying making and tying quilts. Her hobbies were reading and working on crossword puzzles. Marie is survived by her nephew, Jim Kaiser and his wife Mary; niece Jan Kaiser; sister-in-law, Louise (Kaiser) Woods and her husband Glenn; her nephew, Paul Marker and his wife Mary and extended family; brothers-in-law, John Marker and his wife Margie and their extended family, Fred Marker and his extended family, Ken Marker and his wife Pearl and their extended family; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Marker) Fisher and her husband Elsmer and their extended family, sister-in-law, Mildred and her extended family and two special friends, Carolyn Christianson and Marilyn Brincat. She was preceded in death by her husband William, parents August and Lillian Kaiser, brother Elmer Kaiser, brother-in-law Harold Marker and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Clara and Bill Schorzman. Funeral Services for Marie K. Marker will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Walt Reese and Pastor Elmer Haight officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 171 Eastmont Avenue, East Wenatchee, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
