Description	:	Marie Vander Stouwe February 7, 1914—July 28, 1998 Marie Vander Stouwe, 84, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, July 28, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Memorial services were Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, with the Rev. John den Hoed officiating. Pallbearers were Bob Koerselman, Rod Hames, Troy, Travis and Eric Vander Stouwe and Jamey Schiebout. Private graveside services took place prior to the memorial service. She enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch. She was a member of Netherlands Reformed Church, West Branch Homemakers and Netherlands Reformed Ladies Aid. Survivors include four sons and their-wives, John and Bernie of California, Jay and Kay and Mark and Judy, all of Sioux Center, and Ken and Lydia of Perkins; a daughter, Jeanine Wimmer of Rapid City, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Maurice and Lucy of Rock Valley and James and Greta of Sioux Center; three sisters, Gert Hoogendoorn and Jeanette and her husband Bill Vanden Top, all of Rock Valley, and Henrietta and her husband George Vonk of Sioux Center; and three sisters-in-law, Jennie Van Voorst of Rock Valley, Jeanette Van Voorst of Orange City and Alice Van Voorst of Sioux Center. She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, Jake, John, Henry, Sam, Harry and William; and a sister, Hendrieka as a child. Sioux Center News 1998-08-04.
