Marietta Harper was born near Memphis, Scotland county, Nov. 22, 1859, being at the time of her death 45 years, 6 months, and 20 days old. She was united by marriage to Lewis Frank Teter Nov. 18, 1880. This union was blessed with three children, two of whom, Mrs. Elmer Cross and Eugene Teeter, with the husband survive her, one child dying in infancy. Cross farm, southeast of town last Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Teter was born in 1859 near Memphis, Mo. coming with her parents to Shelby County in 1873. In February 1880 she was married to Frank Teter. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church at Lenter, having united 17 years ago. The funeral was preached Wednesday by Eld. Wood at Oak Ridge.
