Description	:	Parents were: Edd B. and Merl (Slemons) Parks. Marilyn grew up on a farm four miles from Pawnee City. She married Alvin Dean Kent on June 6, 1948 in Pawnee City, NE. After her marriage they lived on a farm near Table Rock. To this union two children were born. Gari Gene Kent and Dena Janine Kent. In 1955 the family moved to Lincoln, NE. and Marilyn worked at Love Library at UNL. From 1964-1969, they lived in Ahland, NE. where Marilyn had the house of her dreams built. She married Alvin Dean Kent on June 6, 1948 in Pawnee City, NE. After her marriage they lived on a farm near Table Rock. To this union two children were born. Gari Gene Kent and Dena Janine Kent. In 1955 the family moved to Lincoln, NE. and Marilyn worked at Love Library at UNL. From 1964-1969, they lived in Ahland, NE. where Marilyn had the house of her dreams built. In 1969 she moved to Ralston to finish 20 years of teaching in the Ralston public schools. Marilyn was a accomplished Concert pianist. She won a four year music scholarship to UNL. She used 2 years of the scholarship and returned to school in 1960 to earn her degree in Elementary Education in 1963. In 1983 she moved to Table Rock to live with her husband on a farm. Funeral servcies were held on June 13, 1992 at the Wherry Brothers Mortuary in Pawnee City with the Rov. Alvin Trucano officiating. Interment was in the Pawnee City Cemetery.
