Description	:	Marilyn Jeanne Elder, 89, of Ottumwa died at 5:40 a.m. February 1, 2021 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born January 27, 1932 in Hedrick to Ray and Anne Francis Sanchez Wiggins. She married Delmer Lee Elder on February 20, 1953. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, Marilyn had worked in the office at John Morrell & Co. before working from home as a seamstress. She loved reading, cooking and quilting and enjoyed crossword puzzles and square dancing. Surviving is her husband, Delmer; three children, Greg Elder of Ottumwa, Brett (Shawna) Elder of Iowa City, Susan (Kris) Abild of Lima, OH; three grandchildren, Jason, Alicia, and Erik; three great grandchildren, Alaina, Grant, and Adalyn. She was preceded in death her parents; four brothers, Warren, Harold, Richard and Harlan; six sisters, Pearl, Francis, Doris, Naomi, Fern and Gladys. Limited open visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Reece Funeral Home. Private services will be held at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. For those unable to attend the service, you may watch it live at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.
