The Reverend David Hemann officiated, with burial in St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Odebolt. Born July 14, 1935, in Sac County, Iowa, Marilyn J. Stork was the daughter of Harold and Mary (Buehler) Hoefling. She grew up and received her education in Odebolt, graduating from Odebolt High School in 1954. NOn November 20, 1954, Marilyn was united in marriage to Fred Stork at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Odebolt. The couple made their home in Odebolt where they raised their family. Over the years, Marilyn worked various part-time jobs in the area. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, and bird-watching. She was active in the Sac County Democrats and served on the election board. Survivors include four children, David (Lori) Stork of Lake View, Daniel (Lesa) Stork of Coon Rapids, Deborah Stehr of Lake View, and Denise (Dan) Holmes of Mt. Carmel; eight grandchildren, Keith, Angela, Justin Stork, Hannah Stork, Michael and Jonathan Stehr, and Sarah and Scottie Schonts; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Roberta) Hoefling of Oto; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Dianna Schonts; an infant son, Dennis; her parents; a grandson, Casey Stork; and a grandson in infancy.
