She died at 11:54 p.m. Wednesday, April 18,2001, in Monticello Healthcare Center. Born Feb. 18, 1917, in Francesville, she was the daughter of Harry and Bess Koester Myers. On Aug. 5, 1939, in New Waverly, she was married to Fred J. Pritchett, who died April 20,1990. Mrs. Pritchett had lived in Idaville most of her life. She had been a resident of Monticello Healthcare Center since January 1998. She was a 1934 graduate of Francesville High School and Manchester College 2 Year Normal in 1936. She received a bachelor of science degree in 1962 from Manchester College. She taught elementary education from 1937 to 1979 in the Idaville, Monon and Twin Lakes schools. In 1973 she was awarded the Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America honor. She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and the National Education Association. She was a member of the Eastlawn United Methodist Church in Idaville, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the 8/40 Club, Past Presidents Parley and the White County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading Surviving are one son, F. William Pritchett and his wife Anita, Yorktown; one daughter, Patricia Pritchett, Idaville; one granddaughter, Angela Petty and her husband Frank, Traverse City, Mich.; two grandsons, Matt Pritchett Muncie, and Hunter Pritchett, Yorktown; and one great-grandson, Elliott Petty, Traverse City. The Revs. Alvin Rockey and Ernie Elder will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Idaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
