Description	:	Marian Anita Hover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Hover was born June 24, 1903 at Eureka, Kansas and died February, 6th, 1922 at St. Frances Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. Practically all of her life was spent in Eureka, with the execption of a few years when the family lived in Quincy, Kansas. She was educated in the Eureka schools, graduating from the High School in June 1921. Last fall she entered Midrand College at Freemont, Nebraska.But when she returned home for the holday vacation, little did she reilize that she should not return to college. ... Read More	Marian Anita Hover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Hover was born June 24, 1903 at Eureka, Kansas and died February, 6th, 1922 at St. Frances Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. Practically all of her life was spent in Eureka, with the execption of a few years when the family lived in Quincy, Kansas. She was educated in the Eureka schools, graduating from the High School in June 1921. Last fall she entered Midrand College at Freemont, Nebraska.But when she returned home for the holday vacation, little did she reilize that she should not return to college. For she was forced to take to her bed with slow typhoid. All that medical skill and loving hands could do for her was faithfully pursued. But her frail body only was unable to resist the fever and relief came early through death. On Easter 1919 she united with Christ's Lutheran Church. That vow was ever sacred to her and in that Faith she died. Her death is mourned by a widowed mother, a maried sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Porkable, Wilma, John, Robert and William, together with a large circle of sorrowing friends. Funeral services were held at the house Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock by her pastor Rev. Paul Mennenosh. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Six young men, three of whom were classmates through school and three lifelong friends acted as pall bearers. Six young lady friends acted as honorary pallbearers. Relatives present from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Benj. Funk and family of Wichita, A. Errickson and family of Topeka, Oscar Hover and family of Hamilton, H.D. Hover and wife who have been in Kansas City, the past several months. From Eureka Messenger 9 February 1922
