Description	:	Obit: Marion Byran Marker, lifetime resident of Cedar county, and one of eleven children of George and Catherine Marker, was born March 17, 1896, at Cedar Bluff, Iowa, and passed away at his home in Springdale, April 11, 1954. He was a veteran of World War I. After his discharge he engaged in farming and trucking for several years. He was a veteran of World War I. After his discharge he engaged in farming and trucking for several years. He was united in marriage with Helen Morrow at the Springdale Methodist church on June 28, 1951. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving him are his wife, Helen, and his four Step-sons, James, Eugene, Gary and Warren Morrow, of Springdale; his three daughters, Mrs. Wilmar Williams of Tipton, Mrs. Vernon Reed of Fort Riley, Kansas, Mrs. Wilbur Laucamp of Rochester; his son Bernard of Davenport; his children's mother, Mrs. Vera Marker of Muscatine; four sisters, Lilly Laing, Ellen Hubler and Julia Bair; one brother, Norman; also seven grand-children and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted April 12, 1954, at The Sheets & Dahn funeral home in Tipton with Rev. Bernard Olson of West Branch officiating and interment in the Springdale cemetery.
