Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade. The Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, is in charge of arrangements. She was born on June 6, 1920, in Cascade, daughter of Nicholas and Louise (Strueser) Cigrand. She received her education in the Cascade-area schools. Marion was owner/operator of Cigrand's Beauty Shop in Cascade until her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, and its Altar and Rosary Society. Marion had no children of her own but loved and enjoyed her many nieces and nephews as if they were hers. They, in turn, were constants in her life and loved and cared for her until the very end. Marion loved to play cards, and the highlight of many family holidays was a game of "31." She was a serious player and loved to win but took her losses with grace and laughter. She enjoyed Hawkeye basketball and was a faithful fan. Marion would have been 90 years old in June. She lived a good and fulfilling life and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Surviving are a brother, Dick (Karen) Cigrand, of Monticello; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Cigrand and Annabelle Cigrand, both of Cascade; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Millie Otting, LaVern Grogan, Mag Menster, Lula Mae Klein, Jean Ann Cigrand and Rita Livingood; and four brothers, Fr.
