Description	:	Marion E. Herrick, 83, rural Keokuk, died Monday, Jan. 25 at his home. He had been of failing health the past three years. He was born April 18, 1909 in Fort Madison, the son of George and Lenora Lambert Herrick. On Nov. 14, 1936, he married Louise Wenke in Fort Madison. She survives. Mr. Herrick was a retired farmer, having also worked for the Santa Fe Railroad during WW II. He was a member of the Montrose Senior Citizens, Montrose Township Historical Society and the Farm Bureau. He worked at the Lee County Fair for many years... Read More	Marion E. Herrick, 83, rural Keokuk, died Monday, Jan. 25 at his home. He had been of failing health the past three years. He was born April 18, 1909 in Fort Madison, the son of George and Lenora Lambert Herrick. On Nov. 14, 1936, he married Louise Wenke in Fort Madison. She survives. Mr. Herrick was a retired farmer, having also worked for the Santa Fe Railroad during WW II. He was a member of the Montrose Senior Citizens, Montrose Township Historical Society and the Farm Bureau. He worked at the Lee County Fair for many years and had lived near Montrose since 1944. He was baptised in the Reorgainized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. In addition to his wife, Louise, rural Keokuk; he was survived by one son, Everett Herrick, Fort Madison; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Doris Ann) Mullins, Livingston, Tenn, Mrs. Jim (Christal) Lewiston, rural Keokuk, and Mrs. Denny (Melva) Webb, St. Petersburg, Fla; 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one sister,, Cledie Smith, Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, four sisters, two children and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Hopkins of Fulton, MO officiating. Burial will be in Montrose Cemetery.
