G. "Bus" Schleiger Final rites for M. G. "Bus" SCHLEIGER, 70, 1219 Main street, who died of a heart attack late Friday morning, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev. Donald E. MAUGHAN will officiate and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Mr. Schleiger was stricken at the Brasserie restaurant, 1617 Main street, shortly after having ordered lunch there. Two other customers in the cafe, Robert BURK and Larry KONEFF, attempted to revive him with artificial respiration until the arrival of the fire department's resuscitation unit. Their efforts were to no avail and Mr. Schleiger was pronounced dead on arrival at Woodlawn hospital at 11:55 a.m. He had not been in ill health and death was unexpected. Born Feb. 5, 1904 in Logansport, he was the son of Joseph and Rhoda GREEN SCHLEIGER and had lived in this area 36 years, moving from Kokomo. His marriage was June 2, 1938, in Rocheter to Julia Ann MEYER, who survives. Mr. Schleiger had been a wholesale liquor dealer for General Liquors of South Bend for 35 years and was widely known throughout northern Indiana, having been issued one of the state's earliest liquor salesman's licenses. He was a member of the Rochester Elks and Moose lodges. Also surviving are a son, Jerry [SCHLEIGER], Shepherd, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. J. L. (Lila) NELSON, Denver, Colo. A brother, Cloyd [SCHLEIGER], died in 1973. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today and on Sunday until the hour of the service.
