Description	:	Marion Kiehl COLUMBIANA - Marion Lee Kiehl, age 76, of 663 Fairfield Ave died of heart failure at 11:05 Saturday in the Allegheny General Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was born Jan 4, 1923 in East Palestine, son of Albert and Mary Green Kiehl and had lived in Columbiana for 51 years coming from Rogers-Negley area. Read More	Marion Kiehl COLUMBIANA - Marion Lee Kiehl, age 76, of 663 Fairfield Ave died of heart failure at 11:05 Saturday in the Allegheny General Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was born Jan 4, 1923 in East Palestine, son of Albert and Mary Green Kiehl and had lived in Columbiana for 51 years coming from Rogers-Negley area. Mr Kiehl had been a truck driver and then owned and operated Kiehl Diesel Service. He was also in charge of maintenance for the Ferris Coal Company and designed and built equipment for Col-Pump Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Columbiana. Mr Kiehl served with the 19th Bomb Group in the Army Air Corps during WWII, serving as a B-29 bunner in the Air Offensive Japan. He received the Purple Heart and the Air Medal of Bronze Oakleaf Cluster. He was a member of Benjamin Post #290, American Legion at Columbiana, York Drexler Post #5532, Veterans of Foreign Wars, , Cool Springs Gas Engine Association and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Irene Black whom he married December 25, 1949; two daughters, Mrs Thomas (Sandra) Davis of Leetonia and Mrs James (Barbara) Zins of Lisbon; two sons the Rev Dr. Darryl Kiehl of Atlanta GA and Donald Oberholtzer of Columbiana; four sisters, Mrs Donelda "Sis" Boyles, Mrs Jeanetta 'Jean" Boyles and Mrs Vera "Betts" Lewis, all of East Palestine and Mrs Ronald Clara "Boots" Guesman of Rogers; four brothers, Richard Kiehl of New Waterford, Melvin Kiehl of Austintown, William Kiehl and James Kiehl, both of Negley; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Debra Ann Kiehl, a son Robert E Oberholtzer, a brother, Wayne Kiehl, tree grandchildren and a great grandson. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wed in the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana. The Dr Ronald Huff of the church and the Rev W David H Conrad of Jerusalem Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the Benjamin Firestone Post Honor Guard. Friends my call 2-4 & 7-9 Tuesday at Warrick Kummer Funeral Home.
