Description	:	Marion Mayfield Rounds was born in Clayton county, Iowa, February 6, 1857 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Phila E. Martin, at Huron, South Dakota, on November 20, 1923. He was married March 30, 1879, to Abbie E. Mather. To this union were born eight children, two of whom preceded their father in death - one daughter in infancy and Jabez C. Rounds of Iroquois, July 18, 1923. His wife died August 16, 1916 at Iroquois, and there are left to mourn his death five sons and one daughter - Jesse Owen Rounds, Iroquois, SD; Frank Darwin Rounds... Martin, Huron S.D. There are also twenty five grandchidrenl one brother A.J. Rounds of California; and one sister, Mrs. R. N. McNally of Luana, beside a host of friends. The funeral was held at the Methodist chuch at Iroquois, conducted by Rev. Hyde, who delivered a beautiful sermon.
