Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier” Former Ottumwan Phila Martin, 80, died at 4:05 p.m. May 24 at Golden Age Manor in Centerville. She was born June 12, 1898, in Postville to Marion and Abbie Mather Rounds. She married William E. Martin on June 13, 1917, in Hurton, S.D. He died in 1964. Survivors: sons William of Mason City and Jack of Unionville; daughters Margaret Dayton of Richardson, Texas, and Ruth Broich of Aurora, Ill.; and 34 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Rinkel of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery.
