Description	:	Marion O. Jones, 73, of Maddock, ND, died Monday, September 20, 2010, at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby. Funeral services will be Friday, September 24, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Zion Lutheran Brethren Church in Maddock with Pastor Lu Mathison officiating. Burial will be in the West Minnewaukan Free Lutheran Cemetery, rural Maddock. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7 pm, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock. Casket bearers will be: Palmer, Jr., Danny, Jerry, Rick, Roger, Kenneth, Curtis, Paul & Brad Odden and Norman Rosendahl. Music will be from Renee Gilderhus and Paul Odden with Kathy Daeley, pianist. Marion O. Jones was born December 1, 1936 at Bremen, ND, to John and Inga (Flaskerud) Rosendahl. She was raised there and graduated in 1954 from the Benson County Agricultural and Training School in Maddock. Marion then worked as a waitress in Fargo prior to her marriage to Dalen Jones on September 1, 1957, at Viking Lutheran Church, rural Maddock. The couple made their home in Maddock where Marion cared for area children. Dalen died April 21, 1998. She attended the Zion Lutheran Brethren Church in Maddock and loved to care for children. Surviving are a son, Michael Dale Jones, and a daughter, Doreen Kay Jones, both of Maddock; a brother, Lloyd (Barb) Rosendahl of Maddock; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
