He had been in poor health for some time and recently had a public sale and was going to California in the hopes that the climate there would be beneficial to his health. Marion Potter was about 63 years old and had farmed in and around Vermillion and Centralia for many years. His father was John Potter, well known in this community for many years. he is a brother of Earl and Carl Potter. Earl lives in Seneca and Carl in Westmoreland. A sister, Mrs. Oliver Steckel, lives in Vermillion. The funeral was held Monday at Vermillion, and burial was in the Vermillion cemetery.
