Description	:	Marion Schoffelman born on a farm southwest of Tea, South Dakota, on November 18, 1921, the daughter of John R. and Hattie (Straatmeyer) Schoffelman. She grew up in that area and attended Bedford rural school. On September 8, 1942 Marion was united in marriage to George Knock at her parental home east of Tea. They lived near Tea all of their married life. George died on September 6, 2007. Marion moved into to Lennox in 2010. Read More	Marion Schoffelman born on a farm southwest of Tea, South Dakota, on November 18, 1921, the daughter of John R. and Hattie (Straatmeyer) Schoffelman. She grew up in that area and attended Bedford rural school. On September 8, 1942 Marion was united in marriage to George Knock at her parental home east of Tea. They lived near Tea all of their married life. George died on September 6, 2007. Marion moved into to Lennox in 2010. Marion always helped with the farm work and chores, raising dairy cows, pigs and chickens. She loved gardening and most of all helping to take care of her grandchildren. Marion enjoyed going on bus tours, playing cards and dancing with her many friends. Marion was an active and faithful member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed helping to serve various luncheons and dinners. Marion suffered a stroke on Tuesday and died Wednesday evening December 8, 2010 at Sanford U.S.D. Medical Center, Sioux Falls. She attained the age of 89 years and 21 days. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers in infancy, sister Elfrieda Bruns and brother Arnold Schoffelman. Grateful for having shared her life are her two children and their spouses: Marlene and Stanley W. Plucker and Arlon and Sandy Knock, all of rural Tea; seven grandchildren: Michael, Monte and Stuart Plucker, Stacy Meadors, Matthew Knock, Kelley Krugger and Thomas Knock; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Vera Steever of Tea and sister-in-law Henrietta Gayken.. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church with burial in the Lennox Cemetery.
