Description	:	George Knock, 87, died September 6, 2007 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident since suffering a stroke nearly two years ago. George was born on a farm south of Lennox on July 24, 1920, the son of Henry H. and Lena (Klinghagen) Knock. He grew up in that area and attended Bedford rural school. On Sept. 8, 1942 George was united in marriage to Marion Schoffelman at her parental home east of Tea. They lived near Tea all of their married life. Read More	George Knock, 87, died September 6, 2007 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident since suffering a stroke nearly two years ago. George was born on a farm south of Lennox on July 24, 1920, the son of Henry H. and Lena (Klinghagen) Knock. He grew up in that area and attended Bedford rural school. On Sept. 8, 1942 George was united in marriage to Marion Schoffelman at her parental home east of Tea. They lived near Tea all of their married life. His death ended a marriage two days short of 65 years. George was an active and faithful member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where he served as an usher for 21 years. He also served on the Delapre Township Board for 28 years and the Tea School Board at the time the first new school was built in Tea. He was a 4-H volunteer for many years and helped build the dairy barn at the Fair grounds. For 52 years he attended every Lincoln County Achievement Days dairy show. George was a great fixer and repairman. His grandchildren brought everything needing repairs to him, knowing that Grandpa could fix it. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Marion; two children and their spouses: Marlene and Stanley W. Plucker and Arlon and Sandy Knock, all of rural Tea; seven grandchildren: Michael, Monte and Stuart Plucker, Stacy Meaders, Matthew, Kelley and Thomas Knock; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Henrietta Gayken of Lennox and a sister-in-law: Vera Steever of Tea.
