Rev. Ben Thaden will conduct the services. Mrs. Ross, 46, died late Monday night at Memorial hospital, where she had been brought a few hours before her death. She was a resident of Rose Hill township, and had been teaching school up to the time of her death. The following was provided by findagrave contributor T Tone ((48187792, from the John Ross Family Tree archive: Funeral services were held in the Rose Hill Church Friday for Mrs. Robert Ross, 46, who died suddenly of a heart attack in the Miller hospital. The Rev. Ben Thaden officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Marjorie Alice Smith, daughter of Dow W. and Hazel Smith, was born in Pierre April 29, 1911, and died in the Miller hospital December 2, 1957. She moved to Wessington with her parents in 1918, receiving her elementary schooling in Rose Hill Township. She graduated form Sand Creek Consolidated School and completed a teaching course at Wessington Springs College in 1931. With the exception of a few years she has taught in the rural schools of this area. She was teaching in Sand Creek at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Ross on December 26, 1934, and they have made their home in Rose Hill township. One son, Ray Edward, a student at Wessington High School, was born to this union. Surviving are the husband and son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dow Smith, one sister, Mrs Doris Gohring of Wilmot, and a brother, Dale of Philadelphia, Pa.
