She was married to Harold D. Zarr on May 18, 1952 at Cherokee, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a mother, raising four children. She had also worked at the Solid Waste Plant in Ames, Iowa from 1978-79. Marjorie was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Sioux City and was active in many of their organizations including U.M.W., Glory Group, and Missions Committee. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved spending time with family. She also enjoyed church activities, flower gardening, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, and baking. MARJORIE ANN ZARR, 89, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Friday afternoon, April 3, 2020 at Unity Point Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Jeff Zarr. She is survived by her husband Harold of Sioux City, Iowa; three children: Harold (Sue) Zarr Jr. of Ankeny, Iowa; Greg (Anita) Zarr of Aurelia, Iowa; Melissa (Jeff) Dawdy of Whiting, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: [redacted]; 6 great grandchildren: [redacted]; two brothers: Keith (Normalene) Taylor of Calimesa, California; Roger (Junie) Taylor of Florence, South Carolina. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions memorial services will be held at a later date. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements.
