Marjorie was confirmed on April 1, 1945 at the Methodist Church in Geneva, NE. She was united in marriage to Ralph Bruns on January 30, 1949 at Geneva, NE. The union was blessed with four sons. Bruns, age 88, of Seward, NE, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at Seward. She was born August 10, 1926 in Fillmore County, NE to Clark and Almeda (Welty) Yates. Marjorie was confirmed on April 1, 1945 at the Methodist Church in Geneva, NE. She was united in marriage to Ralph Bruns on January 30, 1949 at Geneva, NE. The union was blessed with four sons. Marjorie was a homemaker but had also worked at the Flying V in Utica, NE. She also worked at Pioneer Seed Company at harvest time. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in rural Waco for 65 years, United Methodist Women, and taught Sunday school for many years. She belonged to the Happy Homemakers, Grange, enjoyed reading, especially western novels and in her younger years showed livestock in 4-H. She loved her pets and always enjoyed taking them out for walks. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them and attending their activities. Marjorie is survived by four sons & daughters in law; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, ; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and a sister-in-law. Funeral services were held February 25, 2015 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church South of Waco, NE. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE.
