Marjorie Elaine Casey was the daughter of Roy Allen and Meta Lou Snyder Casey. She was raised on the family farm near Chelsea, Iowa and Montezuma, Iowa respectively. Marjorie Elaine Casey was the daughter of Roy Allen and Meta Lou Snyder Casey. She was raised on the family farm near Chelsea, Iowa and Montezuma, Iowa respectively. She graduated in 1940 from Montezuma High School. Following her education, Marjorie moved to Grinnell and worked at the Brenton Bank. A few years later, she began working for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids & was later transferred to California. She moved back to Iowa in the 1970’s and lived in Des Moines, where she served as the administrative assistant to the director at the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a member of the Immanuel Methodist Church in Des Moines. Marjorie’s family was her life. She was a caregiver to her mother for many years. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed doing activities and taking them places to make a memory. Her needlepoint work was second to none and her work was nominated and featured at the White House for Christmas during the Clinton Administration. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, going out to eat, and being with her family. She will be remembered for the love of her family and for her kind, caring and non-judgmental way.
