Pastor Inez Foster will officiate with burial at the Union Cemetery in Spencer. Marjorie J. Ericson Luedke, daughter of Fred Ericson and Alice Shutt Ericson, was born December 28, 1926 at Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended Lincoln High School and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She was united in marriage to Charles Luedke on August 6, 1955 at Lincoln, Nebraska. They were blessed with three children: Paula, Barbara, and David. Marge and Chuck lived for a number of years in California where she taught grade school. Marjorie continued teaching for several years after moving to Spencer, Nebraska in 1965. She was active in the Womens Club, United Methodist Women and the Ladies Bridge Club. Marge also enjoyed sewing for family and doing embroidery. After Chuck retired, they traveled leisurely throughout the United States and Canada. One of the many highlights of their travels was a trip to Hawaii celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their family. Marjorie died December 2, 2009 at the Butte Health Care Center, Butte, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 4 days. Survivors include her husband; two daughters; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews and life-long friends. Marge was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Alice Ericson, son David, and brother and sister-in-law Emerald and Pauline Ericson. Marjorie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
