Read More	1980, Wednesday April 16, The Almonte Gazette page 18 Marjorie Wilson Marjorie Letitia (Giles) Wilson, 114 Peter Street, Carleton Place, died April 9 in the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 67. Born in Smiths Falls August 15, 1912, Mrs Wilson was the daughter of the late Albert E. Giles and Lucy Giles. She was educated in Almonte and at the Ottawa Teachers College, and later made her career in teaching. Mrs Wilson attended St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Carleton Place, and was a member of the Rocky Ridge Women's Institute, the OASWT, the Mississippi At the Well Rebekah Lodge No 180, and the Women's Missionary Society of St Andrew's Church. Mrs Wilson was married June 30, 1941, in Almonte, to the late Allan Claude Wilson. She is survived by her three sons, Donald (Carleton Place), Murray (Braeside), and Allan (Saskatoon Sask), and by her daughter, Ruth Devlin, of Carleton Place. A public funeral was held April 11 from the Alan Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place. The service was conducted by Reverend Bob Hill. Burial took place at the Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte, Mrs Wilson's pallbearers were Charlie Blanchard, Eldon Blanchard, Robert Giles, Gordon Armstrong, Hamilton Nichols, and Barry McLaughlin.
