Description	:	Marjorie M. Sitz, 100, of Marion, ND, passed away October 29, 2020 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND. She was born on April 10, 1920 at Marion, ND to Guy and Mabel (Keene) Smith. She grew up and attended school in Marion, graduating from Marion High School in 1938. On October 18, 1938, she was united in marriage to Paul W. Sitz. In 1941, they purchased the Marion Fairway Store, which they owned and operated until 1973 when they retired. Paul passed on February 28, 1987. She was born on April 10, 1920 at Marion, ND to Guy and Mabel (Keene) Smith. She grew up and attended school in Marion, graduating from Marion High School in 1938. On October 18, 1938, she was united in marriage to Paul W. Sitz. In 1941, they purchased the Marion Fairway Store, which they owned and operated until 1973 when they retired. Paul passed on February 28, 1987. Marjorie became a resident of St. Rose Care Center in 2015. Marjorie loved tending to her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed having coffee with friends, working on “Find the Word” puzzles, reading & sharing books with others and watching the birds at the birdfeeder. Her obsession was “cleaning the house", especially washing the windows. Marjorie was well known for her home made buns and walking around Marion. She is survived by her four children, Glen (Nancy) Sitz, Gary (Carolyn) Sitz, Neil Sitz and Sandra (Richard) Baumgartner; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Raymond, Robert, Lloyd & baby LeRoy, and all her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law. Due to COVID, a private family burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery near Marion in the spring. Memorials are preferred to the Marion Lutheran Church, where Marjorie was a member.
