Description	:	The funeral for Esther Pauline Trapp, 90, Marion, was Monday in Grace United Methodist Church, Marion, with Rev. Terry Beyl officiating. interment was in Lakeview Cemetery at Marion. She died Wednesday, March 15, 1987, in Colonial Manor, LaMoure. Mrs. Trapp, the former Esther Pauline Matzke, was born February 24, 1897, in Cottonwood County, near Lamberton, MN, the daughter of Louis and Augusta (Bader) Matzke. She received her education in the local rural school and in 1914 came to the Marion community to live with her brother. She worked in the area for two years before her marriage... Mrs. Trapp, the former Esther Pauline Matzke, was born February 24, 1897, in Cottonwood County, near Lamberton, MN, the daughter of Louis and Augusta (Bader) Matzke. She received her education in the local rural school and in 1914 came to the Marion community to live with her brother. She worked in the area for two years before her marriage to Acy Trapp on December 21, 1916, at Marion. They farmed in the area until retiring in 1968 when they moved into Marion to reside. Mr. Trapp died in May, 1977. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Marion Senior Citizens. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Youngman, Dickey, and Mrs. LaFaye Krenz, Litchville; one brother, Fred Matzke, McMinnville, OR; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
