Description	:	Marjorie was born on a farm near Schleswig, Iowa to Alfred & Amanda (Petersen) Friedrichsen. She grew up on that farm where she attended country school at Otter Creek School and graduated Valedictorian of her class in Schleswig in 1948. After graduation she attended school in Omaha. Marge used the skills she learned as she went on to work at the Farmers State Bank of Lake View Iowa, Omaha National Bank and the Bank of Elkhorn. Read More	Marjorie was born on a farm near Schleswig, Iowa to Alfred & Amanda (Petersen) Friedrichsen. She grew up on that farm where she attended country school at Otter Creek School and graduated Valedictorian of her class in Schleswig in 1948. After graduation she attended school in Omaha. Marge used the skills she learned as she went on to work at the Farmers State Bank of Lake View Iowa, Omaha National Bank and the Bank of Elkhorn. She also worked for many years for Bruhn Packing CO. and MAC Industries. Marge was pretty and fun loving and had many boyfriends, but she met the man who would steal her heart away at a dance in Ida Grove, Iowa in 1948. She married Robert Christie on a snowy, icy day on December 2-1950. Together they raised five children and made their home in Ida Grove and Omaha before settling on a acreage near Elkhorn in 1965. Marjorie and Bob were married for 66 years. Details were very important to Marge whether she was working as a bookkeeper or planning one of her Christmas Coffees for the neighborhood ladies. She always kept notes and insisted on documentation for every transaction, she make copies of copies just to be sure she had Documentation. Marge was a member of Eastern Star, Elkhorn Eagles and Arcadia Extension Club. She loved the flowers in her garden, crossword puzzles, watchin sports on TV, especially the Dallas Cowboys or the Kansas City Royals and researching genealogy.
