Description	:	Marjorie Marie Ball, 82, of Beatrice, passed away at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2011. She was born Dec. 24, 1928 in Sterling to John and Viola (Hobbs) Wehmer. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston and lived in the Lewiston and Virginia area most of her life. Read More	Marjorie Marie Ball, 82, of Beatrice, passed away at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2011. She was born Dec. 24, 1928 in Sterling to John and Viola (Hobbs) Wehmer. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston and lived in the Lewiston and Virginia area most of her life. Marjorie was married to Calvin Flesner from 1950 until he passed away in 1973. She later was married to DeForest Ball until he passed away in 1987. She had been employed at the former First National Bank in Beatrice for over 20 years. Marjorie had been a member of the former Peace Lutheran Church in Lewiston and played the organ and had taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Beatrice. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's events, bowling, playing cards, dancing, flowers, gardening and embroidery. Survivors include two sons, Norman Dean Flesner and wife Sandra, and Mark Kent Flesner and wife Kim, all of Virginia; daughter Pamela Kay Schroeder and husband Ed of Blair; step children Jerry Ball and wife Bonnie of Houstonia, Mo., Larry Ball and wife Pat of Lincoln and Jeff Ball and wife Teresa of Stromsburg; Eight grandchildren, Kevin Flesner, Chris Flesner, Andrew Schroeder, Matthew Schroeder, Joel Schroeder, Michaela Goen, Korey Flesner, and Kelly Flesner; 16 step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; brother Gaylord Wehmer and wife Beverly of Crab Orchard; and sister Evelyn Weyers and husband Leroy of Virginia. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents John and Viola (Hobbs) Wehmer; First husband Calvin Flesner (1973); and second husband DeForest Ball (1987). Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Reverend Linda Wells officiating. Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery, Lewiston. The body will lie in state Tuesday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with the family greeting friends from 6:30-8 p.m., and at the church one hour preceding the service on Wednesday. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the church. A memorial has been established to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Lewiston Cemetery with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in charge. Leave online messages of sympathy at www.griffithshovendick.com.
