Description	:	EFLAND - Mrs. Marjorie Newman Dodson, 94, went home on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Hospice Home in Burlington. She was born September 23, 1920, to William L. Newman and Carma Clayton Newman Goswick, at Watts Hospital in Durham, NC. She was the wife of the late Charles Banks Dodson. Marjorie graduated from Hillsboro High School in May 1938, and was a retired bookkeeper. Marjorie was a member of Parkwood United Methodist Church in Durham, NC, and an associate member of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church in Efland, NC. Read More	EFLAND - Mrs. Marjorie Newman Dodson, 94, went home on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Hospice Home in Burlington. She was born September 23, 1920, to William L. Newman and Carma Clayton Newman Goswick, at Watts Hospital in Durham, NC. She was the wife of the late Charles Banks Dodson. Marjorie graduated from Hillsboro High School in May 1938, and was a retired bookkeeper. Marjorie was a member of Parkwood United Methodist Church in Durham, NC, and an associate member of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church in Efland, NC. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Kay Brown and husband Richard of Efland, NC; three sisters, Betty B. Sykes and husband Arthur, Jr. of Efland, NC, Jane G. Jones of Burlington, NC, and Jean G. Harris of Siler City, NC; and one brother, James P. Goswick and wife Barbara of Lake Dallas, TX. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rochelle Allison, Jr. and her step-father, Henry B. Goswick. The Celebration of Life and Worship Service will be held at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church, 3505 Chestnut Ridge Church Rd., Efland, on Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment in the Fellowship Hall. At other times, the family will be at the residence of the daughter and son-in-law. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mitze Church, Erica Knight-Miller, Holly Lux-Sullivan and Sandi Scott of Hospice for their in home care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215
