Marj was born May 25, 1916, on the home farm outside of Slater, and resided most of her life in the Central Iowa communities of Madrid, Kelly and Zearing. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent for many years. She was the daughter of Mary and Oliver Weeks, sister of Thelma Tudor, wife of Loren, mother of Darrell and Don, grandmother of Dennis and Janice, great-grandmother of Drake and Allison, and was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
