She fell a victim to the influenza followed by pneumonia, and while everything possible was done by emminent physicians and loving friends to save her life, she passed away at the Cool home Wednesday, Oct. 30, aged eighteen years. Nothing could have brought a greater sorrow to our citizens than the death of Marjorie as she was admired and loved by all. Her sunny smile is truly missed. Marjorie Day was united in marriage to Mr. Wilbur J. Cool July 28, 1918 and they were looking forward to years of happiness when the Reaper of death entered this happy home separating a love that had no ending. The banks of beautiful flowers surrounding the casket was a testimonial of the high esteem in which she was held. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Williams from the home the following Sunday. The remains, followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends, were taken to the New Platte cemetery and laid to rest beside her father and brother who preceded her in death a few years ago. The heart broken mother and husband in their sad hour of sorrow have the sympathy of all. - With our hearts longing to give the appreciation of your token of respect and love for her, we ask you to accept our deep gratitude and thanks.
