He was born in Georgetown, S.C., a son of Billy and Willie Mercer. He was employed by Gulfstream Aerospace as a technician. Mark was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School and the Pompano Academy of Aeronautics where he received the President's Award for Third Highest Average in the class. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday March 25, 2012, in the Good Hope United Methodist Church on SC Highway 261 near Carter's Crossroads. --- Although Mark's body was not recovered, this memorial is posted with other memorials for burials in Good Hope Methodist Cemetery so that eventually it can be linkd to memorials for his parents and his wife and children.
