He was 62 years of age, son of the late Inglis and Sarah Maria Whitman Neily. He was 62 years of age, son of the late Inglis and Sarah Maria Whitman Neily. In December 1931, he married Helen May Barteaux, whom he tenderly cared for most of his married life as she became confined to a wheelchair, a victim of arthritis, shortly after their marriage. He was a deacon in the Torbrook Baptist Church and leader of the male choir. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown, Lawrencetown and Florence (Mrs. Louis Dimock), Middleton and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Eri, predeceased him a few years ago. A short service was held at the house for the immediate relatives, followed by a service at the Torbrook Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. A.K. Herman, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. A.G.J. Steeves, of Tremont Baptist Church and Rev. E.C. Sturge, of Torbrook Mines United Church. Hymns rendered by the male choir were: “Sometime We’ll Understand,” “Sometime the Silver Chord Will Break,” and “The Sweet By and By.” The pallbearers were Allan Neily (nephew), Reagh Neily, Albert Keddy and Earl Balsor. Interment was in Torbrook Mines United Church Cemetery.
