She is the daughter of the Elmer & Pauline (Behnfeldt) Dishop. On July 18, 1981 she married Robert Weitzel at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp. She was born on May 4th, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio. She is the daughter of the Elmer & Pauline (Behnfeldt) Dishop. On July 18, 1981 she married Robert Weitzel at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp. Marla had worked as a home visitor for Building Healthy Families in Henry County, a clerk for the City of Napoleon, bank teller for F&M Bank in Defiance, and the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Wauseon and Napoleon. She served as a volunteer EMT for Napoleon Fire and Rescue for 10 years until her health forced her to retire. She is survived by her mother, Pauline Dishop of Napoleon, husband, Robert Weitzel of Napoleon, daughters, Debra (Christopher) Hoffman of Memphis TN, Amy Weitzel of Lima, OH, and Lisa Weitzel of Napoleon, OH, 2 grandchildren, Dominic and Halle, and brothers, Lonnie (Sue) Dishop and Laroy (Jan) Dishop, both of Napoleon. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Friday 1hr prior the funeral at the church The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
