Read More	Marlene Marie Struck was born on February 12, 1944, in Paradise Township, Crawford County, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Helen Klaus Boettger. She died Saturday morning, April 30, 1983, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 39. Marlene was baptized and later confirmed in the Christian faith. She spent her formative years on the family farm in Paradise Township. She received her early education in the rural schools in Paradise Township. She later graduated from the Denison High School in 1962. After the completion of her education, she was employed at the Jo-Mart in Denison. On December 12,1964, Marlene was united in marriage to Ronald Struck at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Together they made their home on a farm north of Denison in Hanover Township. Marlene was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father in 1977. Survivors include her husband Ronald of Denison, her children, Brian, Brenda, Chad and Ken all at home, and by her mother, Mrs. Helen B. nee Klaus Boettger of Denison. Also surviving is one brother, Henry "Butch" Boettger of Dow City and four sisters, Judith, Mrs. Paul Bockelmann of Charter Oak, Mariann, Mrs. Douglas Schnoor of Charter Oak, Colleen, Mrs. John Steinkuehler of Denison and Sandra Boettger of Denison as well as her father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Struck of Schleswig, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 3, 1983, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Burial was in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens. Father Allan Reicks and Father Lloyd W. White officiated at the Mass and gravesite rites. Mrs. Tom Hanigan served as organist with St. Rose of Lima Choir providing music for the Mass. A rosary/scripture service was held at the funeral home the evening prior to the funeral. Pallbearers were Roger Boettger, Larry Struck, Gary Goslar, Richard Keating, Leonard Keating Jr. and Arlen Gierstorf. Schleswig Leader, Schleswig, Iowa, May 5, 1983
